Strength training can be intimidating for beginners, but it doesn’t have to. Our goal is to help you start getting stronger in a way that makes you feel safe and confident.
Exercise science has shown that strength training is important to a fitness routine. By focusing on building muscle and increasing strength, you can improve your health and fitness levels at any age.
Strength training is especially helpful for older adults. Lifting weights is now recommended for increased bone density, improved balance, and maintaining the strength needed to do the things you love outside the gym.
Time is precious. We know you don’t want to be a“Gym Rat”, but want to continue enjoying other things like hiking and skiing. We know you want to be fit and strong enough to enjoy your favorite activities to the fullest.
Exercise shouldn’t take away from the things you love, it should make them better.
Training With Strength 101 Looks Like This
Step 1:
Let’s make a plan
YOUR 1 ON 1 INTRO
We want to know more about you, your life, why you want to get fit and where we fit into the picture, we want to know what we can do to hold you accountable and how we can develop a plan of action to ensure you get fit for good this time.
Step 2:
PT First = Safety First
STARTING FOR THE LAST TIME
We all know that consistency is key, and to be consistent, you need to stay free from injury. At Strength 101 we teach you the why, what, and how of exercise, instead of just showing you once and moving on. That’s why you start with a Personal Trainer and work at your own pace.
Step 3:
Your Hybrid Membership
GROUP + PT or Remote +PT = FITNESS FOR FUN & PURPOSE
Now you’re ready to advance to the next stage and train alongside some great people or confidently train independently. Your coach for life will keep you on track with regular 1 on 1's but less frequently. If you are seeking the social environment and community of a small group to push to new heights of fitness, then small group hybrid is for you. Want to train independently but still receive accountability, coaching, and structure? You should consider a remote hybrid plan.

I've worked with several personal trainers before and Jon Owen has given me the best experience by far. I'm stronger and more flexible and my balance has improved, too. It's been fabulous!
